After many years in the same location it was time for the well-known Commercial Real Estate to move into premises that met their growing needs.

Dezign worked closely with key staff in the design phase to achieve a layout based on L.J Colquhoun Dixon’s unique workflows and structured to allow transparency and effective communication between all team members whilst allowing individual job roles to work effectively.

Dezign managed the complete fitout project including the creation of a reception area, boardroom, interview room, offices, amenities, utilities and storage that all revolve around a central open plan workstations area.

St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School, Wodonga

The project at St Augustine’s Primary School Wodonga involved the construction of Year 1-2 Centre within an existing, operational school.

Site access was of particular not for this project as the site was built out on all sides and on the neighbouring property boundary. Dezign negotiated with the neighbour to enable access for the period of the works through the site.

Dezign are pleased to have the opportunity to again work with No.42 Architects on the incredibly detailed design with a variety of facade treatments including feature brickwork, colourbond cladding, blackbutt timber and shadow cladding. The design captures natural light with the large high-level windows and raked ceiling features.

The space breathes inspiration, creativity and provides students with a great atmosphere and in which to relax, collaborate and learn in a modern educational facility.

Dezign wish the staff, students and wider school community many years of happiness in this fantastic new addition to their school.

Dezign worked collaborated with Northern Beaches Council on the refurbishment and fit out works at Manly Preschool and Community Centre.

The project scope included complete strip out of the existing structure and alterations and additions including, extension of the building, new roofing to the existing structure, complete fit out including a commercial kitchen, paving and landscape works within the carpark and building forecourt area.

Sekisui House, West End

Sekisui House Australia is building the $800 million West Village community at West End and has chosen the heritage listed Peters Ice Cream Cone Factory on site for its new Queensland offices.

More than 40 staff from two locations will merge into the new headquarters, with responsibility for three signature projects in Queensland.

Dezign collaborated with Sekisui House to create and deliver a modern and comfortable atmosphere within the heritage space maintaining the original buildings features of natural timbers and black painted steel.

Blacktown City Council Works Depot, Rooty Hill

In line with Blacktown City Council‘s accommodation strategy and due to the increasing demand for workspace and storage area at its Rooty Hill Depot, Blacktown Council engaged Dezign for the construction and fitout of the improvements to the Depot’s administration office space and augment external yard storage and parking space.

Works included;

  • Proposed extension to the Administration Building and refurbishment of the existing areas including office fitout, workstations, and loose furniture to the new workspace.
  • Augmentation of and alterations to existing on-site car parking facilities.
  • Construction of three (3) workshop and storage sheds.
  • New storage area compound at the northern extremity of the existing car park.
  • Roof connection of two small buildings on site; and
  • Hard and soft landscape works.

Works also involved partial demolition of existing building, capping of existing services, connection and reconnection to services.

Due to the site being occupied and the continuing operational requirements of the location there was a need for constant coordination with site management to ensure disruptions were planned and kept to a minimum.
